Hazarise Music

Terms and payment policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

These are the proposed terms for our first intake. Final payment, cancellation and refund terms will be confirmed on this page before enrolments open, and the terms in force when you pay for a block are the ones that apply to it.

Who we are

Hazarise Music is a weekend group music education and cultural collaboration initiative based in Dandenong, in Melbourne's south-east, created in collaboration with Shamama Association. Our programmes bring structured music learning together with the Hazaragi language and the musical traditions of the Hazara people, and they are open to people of every background.

Our first intake is in planning. Venue, timetable, teachers and intake dates will be confirmed before enrolments open.

Programmes and pricing

We offer three pathways: Foundations (12 teaching weeks), Development (24) and Performance & Creation (36). Each student attends one assigned two-hour class per teaching week, on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon between 2 pm and 7 pm, in a small group.

Proposed pricing is $100 per two-hour session, paid in four-session blocks of $400. Completing every session costs $1,200 for Foundations, $2,400 for Development and $3,600 for Performance & Creation. All prices are in Australian dollars. Prices may be revised before the first intake is confirmed, but never for a block you have already paid for.

Paying in blocks

A block buys four sessions for one student on one pathway. Choosing a pathway does not commit you to its full cost: at the end of each block you decide whether to continue, and the pathway total is simply what it costs to complete every session.

Sessions in a block are scheduled consecutively in your assigned class. A block is not transferable to another student, and unused sessions do not carry over except as described under missed classes.

Payments and receipts

Proposed · confirmed before enrolment

Blocks are paid online through Stripe's secure checkout, which accepts major cards and, on supported devices, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Hazarise Music never sees or stores your card details. Stripe emails you a receipt, and we confirm your paid block and class details by email.

Hazarise Music will confirm its GST registration status before enrolments open. Where GST applies it will be included in the price shown and itemised on your receipt.

Missed classes and make-ups

Proposed · confirmed before enrolment

If you will miss your class, tell us at least 48 hours ahead and we will offer a make-up session in another group where there is space. Make-ups depend on availability, are not guaranteed, and do not attract a refund.

If we have to cancel a class, for example because a teacher is unwell or the venue is unavailable, we will reschedule it or add a session at no cost to you.

Cancellations, withdrawals and refunds

Proposed · confirmed before enrolment

Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe, normally within ten business days of our confirmation.

  • If an intake does not run, or we cannot offer you a place in a class, we refund any block you have paid in full.
  • If you withdraw before the first session of a block, we refund that block in full.
  • If you withdraw during a block, sessions already held are not refunded; the remaining sessions in that block are refunded.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Instruments and equipment

Proposed · confirmed before enrolment

You do not need to own an instrument to start. Equipment arrangements for class, and any additional costs for an instrument of your own later on, will be communicated before enrolment.

Students under 18

A parent or guardian enrols and pays for a student under 18, agrees to these terms on their behalf, and stays contactable during class time. We will ask separately before taking or sharing any photo or recording of a student, and we never publish images of students without consent.

Cultural material and your own work

We teach traditional material with its context and credit its sources wherever they are known. Recordings and performances of traditional material are made only with the appropriate permissions.

Songs and recordings that students create are theirs. We will always ask before sharing a student's work publicly.

Privacy

The enquiry form on this site sends nothing to us: the summary it creates is saved to your own device, and you choose when to share it. When you pay for a block, Stripe collects your details and we receive your name, email address, the programme and the amount paid. We use that information only to run your classes and to contact you about them, we do not sell it, and your payment record is held securely by Stripe.

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time by email.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page and let paying students know by email. The terms in force when you paid for a block continue to apply to that block.
